Mike Mooguire is an online publisher, entrepreneur and artist coach based in Dublin, Ireland.
Having spent years running music magazines in print form, In 2013 Mike launched the satirical dance music magazine Wunderground. The site quickly amassed a cult following and several million readers a month, growing to be one of the most read electronic music magazines in the world, featured in Rolling Stone, Mixmag, The Daily Beast, Resident Advisor, Billboard, Fact, USA Today, Complex, Elite Daily, Boiler Room, Magnetic Mag, Your EDM, Dancing Astronaut & others.
Shared, loved and loathed the world over by some of the most influential acts in dance music, such as David Guetta, Camelphat, Steve Aoki, Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Diplo, KiNK, Charlotte De Witte, Solardo, Disclosure, Solomun, Nile Rodgers, Dixon, Maceo Plex, Tale Of Us, Seth Troxler, Mark Knight, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Eats Everything, Dave Clarke, Skream, Hot Since 82 and even P Diddy!
In 2016 he took the reigns on Ibiza Club News and launched IbizaClubNews.net. With a client list that includes every big club on the island, including Pacha, Ushuaia, Hi Ibiza, DC10, Amnesia, Privilege & Ibiza Rocks. The platform has over 1 million followers across it’s socials, making Ibiza Club News Ibiza’s biggest online community. It’s weekly podcast, Ibiza Club News Radio, which relaunches this November, was #1 in the iTunes charts every week it ran in both 2018/19.
In 2019 he formed The Daily Beat, renaming his Breakthrough Program which launched in 2017 ‘The Daily Beat Artist Development Program’, as well as launching a series of conferences in popular clubs globally, such as the legendary fabric in London and House Of Yes in Brooklyn, New York.
Also this year he has purchased the much-loved classic dance music magazine, Ibiza Voice to relaunch in early 2020, with the legendary Ibiza Voice podcast series, including over 550 episodes with every guest you can imagine; Solomun, Svan Vath, Richie Hawton, Adam Beyer, Loco Dice and hundreds more.
2019 was a busy year, as Mike also launched his media network, Dance Village with festival clients including Epizode, elrow Town, Ultra Miami, EDC, Timewarp, Defected, Tomorrowland, Resistance, elrow Town & hundreds more.
With a love for public speaking, Mike has spoken at music conferences around the globe, including ADE, Miami Winter Conference, International Music Summit and Brighton Music Conference and well as keynote talks at high-level marketing conferences such as POMP and CMFF.
Dance music is all about events, and in 2019 Mike’s Wunderground brand held a season long residency in Hï Ibiza alongside the Bodyworks event with Solardo, Camelphat & Fisher, as well as a festival residency with elrow town. Before that, Mike’s brands have held or hosted events in clubs such as Space Ibiza, Ministry Of Sound, fabric london, Sankeys & more.
Every so often, you’ll catch him pulling quite unusual publicity stunts, like the time he worked on behalf of Claptone to trick international media into believing workers in Ireland has accidentally dug up a 6000 year old Claptone, or the time he kidnapped Felix Da Housecat, or tricked a room of marketing experts that he would be appearing a hologram of a Unicorn, or tricked the world into believing that Steve Aoki isn’t a DJ, or hosted Carl Cox on a boat, or threw a rave in a phonebox, or drove an Ambulance converted into a DJ booth across Europe, or drove from Ireland to Ibiza in a Void powered vintage Ice-Cream truck, or leaked Skream’s rider.
